| STEREOCHRIST--"Dead River Blues"(Arctic) Pretty killer Stoner Rock from Budapest
of all places! Anyone who knows me, knows how picky I am with what I feel
is the oversaturated Stoner genre. The cool thing about Stereochrist is
how they don't forget to add a nice helping of Cathedral-style DooM to
the pot! Also worthy of note is the cool addition of vocal harmonies,
and the overall mixing in of speedier numbers in with the sloooow. "Dead
River Blues" reminds me of bands like Trouble and Orange Goblin in
the best possible way. A winner.
