SUPER NATURAL - Promo 2002

Out of the ashes of the semi-legendary Mood, Hungary's premier Doom-Metal band, emerges Wall Of Sleep and the here presented SUPER NATURAL. Three of the ex-members founded this new outfit in 2002, and after a short time ex-Mothermoon vocalist Felföldi Péter and ex-Mothermoon guitarist Fung András joined the band, who left the band after a couple of months. The four-song promo is the first sign of life and SUPER NATURAL aren't trying to continue the path of Mood. There are a few similarities as the heavy massive sound, but this time they prowl more through the territories of later Trouble, Alice In Chains and Down f.e. It's obvious to hear that this guys got enough talent to create an own strong groovy sound, and especially the guitarwork is very suggestive and Péter trys to work out an own style of singing, instead of being an Anselmo-clon. All songs are on the same high quality level and my faves are the Down-influenced "Doomed" or the emotional "Way Back Home". The lyrics are more focused on personal experiences in life, except "Christ Was An Angry Man" , which is more about misleaded beliefs in the organized Christian religion. The only low-point about this MCD is the short playing time of nearly 15 minutes, but it a promo, of course. After listening very often and close to this promising disc, my expectations are very high about the things that will happen in the future around SUPER NATURAL and I hope they can wake up any label interest. SUPER NATURAL are sounding very natural and they aren't any wanna-be's. If I could, I would sign them immediatley! For additional infos check out the band's homepage.
