| I have had this a few months and don't know when it was released this year exactly. I never noticed a review of it here on this forum. Someone please tell me if I'm wrong. When the Hungarian doomsters Mood disbanded a few years back, 2 different groups arose from the ashes. Gabor and Sandor joined by 3 others to form Wall of Sleep. Bassist Balazs, drummer and percussionist Tamas and guitarist Kolos went on to form Stereochrist, with the addition of vocalist Folfoldi Peter. I would say the music of Stereochrist is closer to the sounds of Mood than the Sabbath inspired music of Wall of Sleep. But don't get me wrong, I think Wall of Sleep are great! Just that Stereochrist are closer to Mood musically. Stereochrist is also heavily guitar driven with clean vocals. In some places the vocals seemed just a little garbled. You just don't seem to hear as much about hardrocking Stereochrist as their brothers Wall of Sleep. I recommend this c.d. wholeheartedly! Some influences might be early Trouble and of course Mood.
