| www.munchkinmusic.be Stereochrist may have a generic name, but this band's bayou-based metal sound, which falls somewhere between Down, Cathedral, and Fireball Ministry, really takes it home. On this Hungarian quartet's riff-o-rific 10-track stoner rock sojourn, the guitars snarl on tracks like the dirge-esque "One Eyed Soul" and"Doomed" snarl like an unfed pitbull, while the doomy rhythms found on "All Along The River" and "Smack The Sun" are the best Eastern European interpretations of Black Sabbath heard in a long time. Pop a few pills and pop in this CD, and, yes, you’ll see all the pretty colors and floating spots of lights, but most of all, you'll be sufficiently rocked. Mike SOS |
